Weyburn curlers part of Junior Curling Provincials at Martensville

WEYBURN – Saskatchewan’s U21 teams are ready to rock in Martensville at the 2022 Junior Provincials.

The Provincial Championship will determine who will represent Saskatchewan at the New Holland Canadian Juniors in Stratford, Ont., set for March 25-April 1, 2022.

Weyburn curling fans will know members of the junior women’s Team Haupstein, which includes skip Emily Haupstein of Weyburn, Skylar Ackerman of Moose Jaw, Taylor Stremick of Regina, Abbey Johnson of Weyburn, and coach Travis Brown, based at the Sutherland Curling Club, Saskatoon.

Defending champions, Team Daymond Bernath and Team Kleiter both of Saskatoon, will look to become back-to-back champions.

Eight teams in each the men’s and women’s divisions will compete in a triple knockout event with a four-team page-playoff, at the Martensville Curling Club from Feb. 23-27.
