Members of the Weyburn Hurricane Water Polo Club competed with Team SK at the Alberta Open in Calgary from March 15 to 18. Playing for Team SK in the U18 Youth division were Jenna Haupstein, Kelsey Jensen, Taylor Molde, Callahan Huebner, Kristin Smart, Riley Molde and Hailey Walkeden. The U18 Team SK finished the round robin with 4 wins and 1 loss sending them to the gold medal game against Calgary Renegades. Team SK lost 7 to 4 to Calgary to capture the silver medal in the U18 girls division.
In addition to playing with the U18 Team Callahan Huebner, Kristin Smart, Riley Molde and Hailey Walkeden played for Team SK U16 team. This team finished the round robin with 3 wins and 2 losses sending them to the bronze medal game against Santa Barbara. Team SK U16 girls beat Santa Barbara 5 to 4 in overtime to capture the bronze medal in the U16 girls division.
