Youth who are interested in trying hockey in an accessible, free, safe and fun way, including any girls interested in taking part in female hockey, will have that opportunity later this month.

Weyburn Minor Hockey Association is hosting an #Essofundaysprogram on Saturday, March 27, starting at 10 a.m. at Crescent Point Place.

For those interested in learning more about girls hockey, there is the inaugural Scotiabank Girls HockeyFest Summit, to be held online on Sunday, March 7 at 4 p.m. EST.

Those going online for this session, they will be joined by top professionals in the field as they dive into informative and interactive sessions and introduce the players selected to participate in a once in a lifetime four-week mentorship program with PWHPA players.

This exciting event will include inspiring programming and exclusive access to the virtual Scotiabank Arena where you can navigate through interactive elements and score exclusive merchandise and giveaways along the way.

The summit agenda will include a talk on the state of women’s hockey, a roundtable discussion on women’s hockey, a nutrition session and a session on inclusion. The deadline to register for the online summit is Friday, March 5.
