White takes annual Crocus Masters Golf Tournament

Tanner White was the big winner at the 41st annual Molson Crocus Master Tournament that was held at the Weyburn Golf Course on July 9 and 10. White won the championship flight (by retrogression) with a two-day total of 154.

Tanner White was the big winner at the 41st annual Molson Crocus Master Tournament that was held at the Weyburn Golf Course on July 9 and 10.

White won the championship flight (by retrogression) with a two-day total of 154. Sean Bobbinski finished second and Mike Ross finished third, also shooting 154.

Other flight winners were: Rick Hallberg won first in the first flight with a two-day score of 160. Second place went to Jeff Scobbie with 163 and third went to Dustin Zmetana with 164.

Second flight winner was Todd Gjerve with a two day score of 175 followed by Jim Linell with a 177 and Lonnie Jones with a 178.

In the third flight, first place went to Rick Walliser with 188 followed by Adam Walliser with 188 and Jarod Rommann with 190.

Pat Murphy won the senior men's championship flight with a two-day score of 167 followed by Ed Henheffer with 174 and Lyman Sergant with 175.

In the senior division first flight, the winner was Dean Leach with a two-day score of 183 followed by Rick Gaube with 186 and Jim Pennington with 189.

In the specialty division, Saturday's long drive went to Ryan Galay; closest to the pin honors went to Brad Henderson and Marshall Bakken.

On Sunday, long drive went to Marshall Bakken with closest to the pin going to Lonnie Jones and Ed Henheffer.

The horse race competition was won by Carter Hilkewich.

A total of 62 golfers competed in the tournament.
