Yellow Grass bullrider heading to PBR nationals

Aaron Roy had a busy PBR season, leading up to the national championships.

WEYBURN - Aaron Roy, a bullrider from Yellow Grass, will be competing in the Canadian Professional Bull Riders (PBR) championship, which will be held in Edmonton on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 11 and 12.

Roy was ranked in eighth place in Canadian PBR standings as of Nov. 9. During a recent PBR event in Yorkton on Nov. 4, Roy claimed fifth place.

Roy had a busy PBR season, leading up to the national championships. He claimed fourth place, during the Saskatoon PBR Classic, held on Oct. 28.

He won first place during the Peace Country PBR Challenge, held in Grande Prairie, Alta., on Sept. 30. During that same weekend, he also placed second in the five-vs-five PBR challenge.

According to the PBR, Roy has had 590 rides in his career. His 2022 World Rank is #120.
