Concert ticket sales should be handled locally

Why are the ticket sales being handled by the ticket agency Ticketmaster in Regina? This company is now being challenged by their business ethics.

Estevan is growing by leaps and bounds. Surely we can look after our own ticket sales for our own arena.
I have personally acquired tickets from Henders Drugs who does a lot of ticket sales here in the city as well as out-of-town concerts, etc. Surely we don't have to go to Regina for our tickets for a local function.

It is my understanding that all members of city council voted for the Ticketmaster agency, except one who abstained.

I have always bought locally, especially when the City of Estevan keeps telling us to shop local.
Henders Drugs would have gladly sold the tickets but it went to Ticketmaster.

Estevan is growing rapidly (now 13,000 people). When are we grown up enough to look after our own ticket sales?

It seems to me that city council has a small town attitude.

Is this going to be the policy in the future? Many people I have spoken to are asking the same question.
