Walk for Reconciliation hosted at Weyburn's Jubilee Park

The Weyburn Arts Council hosted a Walk for Reconciliation on Saturday afternoon, to commemorate the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

The Weyburn Arts Council hosted a Walk for Reconciliation on Saturday afternoon, to commemorate the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Arts council curator Regan Lanning did a video interview with a representative of Sask Culture, then opened the Walk with remarks and a land acknowledgement.

The walk consisted of reading a timeline of Treaty 4 history on posts set up along the path in Jubilee Park, with the history going to precolonial times up to the present time.
