Weyburn Co-operative Playschool families visit the 'pumpkin patch'

Fun activities like face-painting, games and horse-and-carriage rides were available

WEYBURN – Families of the Weyburn Co-operative Playschool, along with many residents of Weyburn and area, came out to support a fundraiser event for the playschool at the "Pumpkin Patch".

The Patch was set up on the front lawn of Calvary Baptist Church, where the playschool is held during the week, with all funds raised going towards the playschool program.

The event featured many pumpkin-themed activities and events, ranging from carnival games like knocking cans over for a prize, putting, to face-painting by Kendra Ellingson.

A photographer was on hand to take photos of families in a pumpkin-themed setting, people could buy pumpkins, and could buy drinks or snacks with pumpkin flavours.

In addition, horse-and-carriage rides were available, with Falon Brydon driving the carriage with her horse Spitfire, giving rides around the neighbourhood.
