Kathryn Ann “Daisy” Hill

Late of Saskatoon (formerly of Yellow Grass), Kathryn Ann “Daisy” Hill passed away on October 29, 2017 after a brave and courageous two-year battle from cancer at the age of 62 years. She was predeceased by her grandparents Alfred and Undine Hill and William and Margaret Bornholdt. Kathy graduated from Yellow Grass School in 1973 and went onto Saskatoon and took a Business Course and went to Kelsey Institute with a Recreational Technology degree that got her jobs at various Provincial Parks. She got employment at Inter-contiential Packers (later Mitchells and Maple Leaf Foods) and there she worked for 35 years, till she retired for health reasons. Kathy loved to travel, taking two trips to Australia for four months at a time. She also toured Europe. Kathy excelled at sports and was on many Provincial and National teams. She played Broomball, Flag Football, Co-ed ball and her Masters Fastball. Her sports teams took her from Halifax to Victoria. In later years, she started golfing and was fortunate to achieve a “Hole-in-One”. She was always the upbeat and happy person on every team. She is survived by her loving parents Jack and Margaret Hill; siblings: Mickey (Sandra), Dana (Kathy), Colleen, Karen (Dale), Jim; her special nieces and nephews who meant the world to her: Jason (Janice), Jackie (Darcy), Karla (Mike) [Ruby], Kerri (Dre), Torri, Landon, Krista (Mike) [Jack, Leo], Kimberly (Marshall), Justin (Samantha) [Anderson], Jill (Mark) [Len, Nate], James (Travis); as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and many wonderful friends. A Celebration of Life for Katyh was held on Sunday, Nov. 5 from the Communiplex in Yellow Grass. Arrangements entrusted to RD Family Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, Weyburn, SK.
