Carnduff Fall Fling returns Sept. 6 with full day of fun

Carnduff’s Fall Fling is back Sept. 6 with breakfast, kids’ activities, contests, live music, fireworks and more on Broadway.

CARNDUFF — Last year, Carnduff tried something a little different.

For several years, the Carnduff & District Business Organization had planned big Canada Day celebrations, but turnout fell short as many residents used the holiday to begin their summer vacations. As a result, Canada Day festivities in Carnduff stopped for a year or two.

In 2024, organizers decided to create a Fall Fling instead — offering events similar to Canada Day but held when more people were in town. The event was a smashing success, leading to a strong desire to make it an annual tradition, with the hope that each year would be better than the last.

This year’s Fall Fling will take place on Sept. 6. The main block of Broadway will be closed for the full day, with the second block closed part of the day.

The fun begins with a pancake breakfast served by the Lions Club at 8 a.m. and wraps up with fireworks and live music from Regina’s The Otherz Band at 9 p.m.

In between, there will be plenty to enjoy. Kids’ activities include bouncy castles, a petting zoo, mini golf, a scavenger hunt, face painting, henna tattoos, hair tinsels and a dance.

For all ages, highlights include an open-mic talent show, pie and veggie contests, a car show, a quilt show, a pet parade and bingo.

Food lovers can enjoy food trucks, booths featuring locally made goods and open restaurants. Shoppers can also explore a market at the Ag Grounds from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Organizers say the event promises to bring the community together for another day of fun, food and entertainment.
