Yesterday I suffered one of those "wish I could forget" moments and it was all the fault of the gas tank. It said Empty, dinged loudly and flashed a yellow light.

Infants and toddlers may have difficulties communicating their desires because they have yet to learn how to talk.

The GFK Track and Field Team is practicing 2 days a week after school. On May 22 is the Sub-district track meet in Carnduff. On May 29 is the District Track meet in Weyburn. The high school dance last weekend was a big success.

The Carlyle Beautification Committee met on Tuesday at town hall where they discussed several plans for revamping the aesthetics of Carlyle.

Three players from Carlyle were selected during the Western Hockey League's (WHL) bantam draft on Thursday, May 2 in Calgary. Cale Fleury, 15, was selected 78th in the fourth round by the Swift Current Broncos but was then traded to the Kootney Ice.

The other weekend I was able to go home for a couple of days. Not only did I get to visit my family and see my mom for Mother's Day. It just so happened that a family friend was holding their branding during the weekend as well.

On May 7, the Arcola School Community Council (SCC) held a public information meeting to address the matter of repairing or replacing the school gymnasium.

The Arcola Daycare and Lampman Minor Sports have each received $2,500 through the Canada's Farmers Grow Communities which is supported by the Monsanto Fund. Their entries were chosen in November and were among entries from across Canada.

Hazel Richardson passed away at the Stoughton Nursing Home on March 16, 2013. Hazel was at the age of 95.

A group of community members in Kisbey are working together to raise funds in order to purchase new play structures. In the spring of 2011 severe flooding covered the area, while that autumn saw strong winds.
