The Carlyle RCMP dealt with several calls from Thursday, April 5 to Thursday, April 12.

The Kisbey Fire Deparment, Elks, and Rebekahs came together to host their first annual dinner theatre on Friday, April 13, and Saturday, April 14.

Tanya Robertson of Carlyle's Sew & Sews says the response of the local quilting community to the tragedy involving the Humboldt Broncos hockey team is just like that of thousands of people from throughout Saskatchewan and beyond.

The Town of Carlyle and the Carlyle Chamber of Commerce hosted a pancake breakfast on Saturday, April 14, to raise funds for STARS and the SJHL Assistance Program. The pancakes were courtesy Parrish & Heimbecker Ltd.

The Carlyle Elementary School discovered in August of 2015, following a playground audit completed by the school division, that there was equipment on both playgrounds deemed unsafe.

Student Led Conferences are on April 25 and 26 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. There is no school on Monday, April 30 (Teacher Professional Development Day). Badminton season is well underway and track and field season has begun.

The 5 th Annual Wawota Rocks Children’s Gala was once again a huge success.

Last week I had prepared a column, but you never know what the future can hold… which was made very evident last week and inspired me to write a new column, which begins with my deepest condolences to everyone affected by the tragic event on April 6.
