Released on December 19, 2017 The Government of Saskatchewan and the Rural Municipality of Reciprocity have entered a partnership to upgrade Highways 318 and 361.

The Antler Gun Club held their Annual Antler Nite on Saturday, Dec. 2, at the Antler Gun Club. Measurement of the heads were done by Darcy and Korbin Van Sprundel, Brian Henrion, and assisted by Phil Mark.

Recently there have been a number of newspaper closures; it both surprises me and makes me a little sad.

Although Redvers has always celebrated Christmas as a community, this year they decided to do a little bit more, as they held the First Annual Redvers Winterfest – a full afternoon of activities and fun for all.

In the season of long shadows the sunset paints the sky of Paradise. Sun dogs dance in swirling ice crystals that shadow spirits of Christmas Past and Future. Chores are finished as twilight catches us making hasty preparations.

The Arcola Family Health Clinic is mounting a fundraising campaign and collecting donations to have a “panic” button installed at the nurses' station in the Arcola Health Center.

The Carlyle RCMP detachment responded to several calls between Thursday, Dec. 7 and Thursday, Dec. 14. 911/False alarms A call to 911 originated from a payphone in Redvers. A misdialled call to 911 originated in Carlyle.

The Carlyle PureChem Cougars took on the Redvers Rockets, Wednesday, Dec. 13. The away game was a close one for the Cougars, but they were unable to upset the Rockets who hold second place in league standings (information up-to-date as of Dec. 18).

This year, the Carlyle & District Food Bank provided a helping hand to clients from throughout this corner of Saskatchewan - an area of 3,200 square kilometres. This Christmas, the food bank sent out 117 hampers.
