There was a buzz around Bourassas as the team from E. Bourassa & Sons held a two-day meet and greet in Carlyle to introduce the nearly 100-year-old company to communities in this corner of Saskatchewan.

Carlyle Town Council met Wednesday, Jan. 17 at the Carlyle Civic Centre for their regular bi-weekly meeting. Council's next meeting will take place at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 31 at the Civic Centre.

New Semester There are no classes on Wednesday, January 31. Semester 2 begins Thursday, February 1, at 9:00 AM. Band students of GFK are selling their usual fruit, cookie dough, desserts and others for their annual fundraiser.

Victor Jorgensen 1931 - 2018 It is with heavy hearts that the family announce the passing of Victor Jorgensen late of Redvers, SK on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the Regina General Hospital at the age of 86 years.

“His wings were ready, Our hearts were not.” Wayne Douglas Dunn (1953-2018) Wayne loved life. He lived at home and he died at home, with only a short visit to the Arcola Hospital, where he left this world surrounded by those who loved him.

The Winter Olympic Games are coming up Feb. 9 to Feb. 25 and are being hosted in Pyeongchang, in the Republic of Korea, this year.
