Southeast Saskatchewan has produced over 30 hockey players from within an 80 km radius of Carlyle, from the WHL to CIS to the NHL.

The Canadian Red Cross is an organization which intends “improve the lives of vulnerable people by mobilizing the power of humanity in Canada and around the world.” In order to do this the Red Cross depends on volunteers from across the country.
