Lorraine passed away peacefully surrounded by love, peace and her family, on December 30, 2016, in Abbotsford, B.C.

Mary “Irene” Davis formerly of Arcola, passed quietly on December 19, 2016 at Estevan Regional Nursing Home. She was born February 1, 1921 at Arcola and spent her lifetime in the Arcola area.

Well… I’ve told multiple people that I am the Grinch over the last couple of weeks… and it’s not really true. Personally, I’m not a huge Christmas music fan, so I get to be the Grinch as I groan over listening to it.

A fun family event was hosted at Lampman School on Thursday, Dec. 15, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for kids to enjoy a day of activities.

The Carlyle PureChem Cougars had to reschedule their Friday, Dec. 16, game versus the Bienfait Coalers to a later date as the Coalers were unable to attend. The next day, however, the Cougars headed out to Midale where they battled on the ice.
