The Atom Cougars finished up the season with a busy February. On February 4th they played in Kipling(2). They played hard with goaltender Zane Winter having an outstanding game & stopping everything the entire first period.

Between Feb. 28 and March 6, the Carlyle detachment of the RCMP responded to 60 calls. 911 calls A 911 open line was found to have been children playing with the phone in Carlyle. This call contained no emergency.

The role of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency is changing to the point I suspect most will imagine it does less for our safety than is actually the case these days.

Since 1985 the Cornerstone Theatre group has been delivering quality productions in Memorial Hall, and this year will see them deliver once again.

In January of 2005, Nancy and Gillis Matthewson acquired Carlyle's Home Hardware store from Boyd Cochrane.

On Thursday, March 6, the Carlyle and District Lions were proud to present the community with their 23rd Annual Fundraising Supper, Raffle, and Auction.

After experiencing the two past winters in Saskatchewan, now I can feel and understand what a really cold winter is like. The last two winters were especially good examples of bitterly cold winter in Canada.

We recently leased a van to help transport our kids (sporting events, work experience locations, theatre productions, etc). In order to fund the lease payments and operational costs, we recently held a pizza drive.

I come from a line of Norwegians on both my mom and dad's side of the family. Although I have always been aware of my ties to the Nordic region I haven't made a huge effort to connect with those Norwegian roots.

The students at Manor School rose over $2000 last week as a part of their contribution towards the Kinsmen Telemiracle Foundation and to date it is the most the school has ever raised.
