A variety of activities were held, bringing residents and the community together.

ESTEVAN — The Estevan Regional Nursing Home (ERNH) hosted a family fun event on June 30.

Activities took place outdoors in front of the nursing home. Approximately 50 residents were in attendance and many family, friends, grandchildren and staff members were present.

Local band Two Stepp provided entertainment. An ice cream truck was a success as all residents were provided a treat. Cotton candy was provided by the staff and face painting was among the other activities offered.

The recreation department organized a fundraiser and 50/50 tickets were sold to raise money to add a gazebo to the backyard for some additional shade.

The ERNH thanks everyone for their continued support for an event the recreation department says is a lot of fun to host, as it brings residents and the community together.

"It was a beautiful afternoon and the smiles from the residents is why we carry out these types of festivities," said Stephani Bourassa from the ERNH in an email to SaskToday. "It gives them something to look forward to, and they always enjoy the music and treats."
