SOUTHEAST SASKATCHEWAN — SGI and SGI Canada have handled a number of claims stemming from storms in the southeast earlier this summer.
One auto hail claim was filed with SGI for hail and wind related to tornadoes that struck the Frobisher area and elsewhere June 19.
Twenty-one auto hail claims were filed with SGI, and six property claims were submitted with SGI Canada related to storms in the Redvers area July 3.
According to SGI, since May 1 in Saskatchewan, there have been 96 property wind claims, 351 property hail claims, 1,820 auto hail claims and 207 auto wind claims across the province.
SGI says customers can submit an auto or property claim online at mysgi.ca. They can also speak with their local insurance broker or contact SGI at 1-844-855-2744.
The Crown corporation says customers have two years from the date of loss to finalize repairs or settle the total loss after reporting their claim.
Property claim numbers apply only to SGI Canada customers in Saskatchewan, and not customers who may have policies with other insurers.
