The TS&M Bruins got back on track with three wins on a busy weekend. The bantam AA club defeated the Regina Aces 8-5 on Friday in Regina, then beat the Moose Jaw Warriors 3-1 on Saturday and torched the Swift Current Raiders 9-2 on Sunday.

For the second time in the span of six days, the Kindersley Klippers blanked the CanElson Drilling Estevan Bruins 4-0. The second instance happened in Kindersley in Thursday.

The Southeast Legacy Twins have found their coaching staff for the 2015 season. Southeast Saskatchewan's midget AAA baseball team will be coached by Blaine Kovach and Kent Phillips.

The Estevan Apex Bruins lost both of their home games on the weekend. The midget AA team fell 5-2 to the Swift Current Hurricanes on Saturday, then 7-4 to the Ntore Dame bantam Hounds on Sunday.

It was a big weekend for the Estevan Westmoreland Bruins. The peewee AA team won both of their home games over the Melville Millionaires, defeating them 8-6 on Saturday and 8-4 on Sunday.

Estevan City council denied a request from a daycare to change the tax rate for the organization to a residential rate from a commercial. The Hillcrest Early Learning Centre requested a change in how they are taxed in a Dec. 8 letter to council.

A warning has been issued to SaskPower customers regarding a phone scam.

Estevan Police Service members issued a warning to the general public regarding a classified advertising scam where the supposed seller is attempting to rent homes and apartments. The ads contain e-mail addresses and contact numbers.
