One of the great success stories of last year's Estevan Bruins campaign came to a halt on Monday. The team traded offensive defenceman Austin Yano to the Kindersley Klippers for defenceman Brett Blatz.

Estevan eased into the shelter business this past weekend. People who have been sleeping in vehicles or having to resort to paying for a motel room, or couch surfing, now have alternative sleeping arrangements, if needed.

Since a motion was passed by Estevan's council a couple of weeks ago to introduce a new speed limit bylaw, the wheels have been put in motion so that the new restrictions could be enforceable in the early part of 2013.

The managers at Creighton Lodge continue to wait for advice on just what they should be doing with their building.

Update: Dec. 5, 2012 Steven James Schnell, the Bienfait resident who was reported missing yesterday by the RCMP, has been found safe. Schnell is apparently in Midale and has been in contact with the police.

The Estevan Bruins sent a surprise into the SJHL world today, shipping 19-year-old defenceman Austin Yano to the Kindersley Klippers for 19-year-old defenceman Brett Blatz.
