Regina-based band Library Voices showed their support for their friends Nolan and Jenine Haukeness on June 4.

Five of the seven members of Library Voices are originally from Estevan, and they have all known Nolan Haukeness for years. When they found out that the Haukeness family lost their home and belongings in the Fort McMurray wildfires, they wanted to do a fundraiser for the couple.

Library Voices performed at concerts at the Estevan Art Gallery and Museum and The Beef Bar in Estevan. Former Estevan resident Joel Henderson, who performs under the name Poor Nameless Boy, was also part of both concerts.

About 50 people packed the EAGM’s Gallery 1 for an all-ages concert in the afternoon. Another 140 people were at The Beef for an evening performance for adults.

The Beef also held a tailgate party for the Haukeness family that attracted 87 people.
