Canadian music group The Leahys will perform at the Estevan Comprehensive School on May 2, starting at 7:30 p.m.
The concert will be the last through the Estevan Arts Council’s Stars for Saskatchewan series this season.
For years, the members of the Leahy family have played, danced and shared their music throughout the world, gaining critical acclaim and accolades for their musicality, talent and performance.
Members of the family have formed The Leahys, and they are delving further into their love of singing and song-writing. They draw from their individual interests and influences in music, and blend not just their voices, but their stories, instruments, musical styles and harmonies.
Several members of the group are part of Leahy, and are well-known and established performers on the Canadian music scene, concentrating on instrumental, Celtic, traditional and roots music.
Their combined creativity results in distinctive melodies, lyrics and music. Their songs are distinct and identifiable, and their presentation uplifting and full of life.
