A donation totalling $25,000.00 from the Oilmen's Bonspiel executive was presented to Weyburn minor sports at the Weyburn Curling Club on February 23. The recipients of the funds are local organizations: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Weyburn, Weyburn Minor Football, Weyburn Badminton Club, Weyburn Junior Curling, Weyburn High School Football and the Len Williams Coaching Legacy. The Oilmen's Bonspiel executive donates back an average of $3000.00 yearly to Weyburn minor sports. The larger donation for 2015 is due to generous sponsors for this year’s bonspiel. Representatives for the organizations were on hand on Monday to receive the donation. Michael Mainil and Danette Tracey presented the cheques on behalf of the Oilmen’s Bonspiel executive.
