"A Prairie Alphabet" was recently included into a new time capsule for the Saskatchewan Legislature Building. That time capsule will be sealed for 100 years, and included several other items about the province.
Other upcoming events at the Weyburn Public Library include a family pumpkin carving night on Thursday, Oct. 25 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Kids Korner runs every Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m. Children will build with popsicle sticks on Oct. 25, they will cook in India on Nov. 1, create a blue jean purse on Nov. 8, cook in Japan on Nov. 15 and create a fruit painting T-shirt on Nov. 22.
During the first Saturday of each month, immigrant women are invited to the library for an hour of mentoring, discussion, support and cross-cultural exchange. The program is free, but registration is recommended.
The next Immigrant Women meeting is Saturday, Nov. 2 from 2 to 3 p.m.
