The stretch of Fourth Street that is closed due to a water main replacement has been expanded.
Fourth Street is now closed from the intersection of Souris Avenue South to the intersection of Eighth Avenue. This closure is required for a continued water main replacement and resurfacing project.
It will remain closed until the work is complete.
East and westbound traffic on Fourth Street will be detoured to Third or Fifth Street. Heavy trucks will be directed to use Sixth Street.
Pedestrians will have access to both north and south sidewalks. Cyclists are asked not to enter work zones and use detour routes as indicated by traffic patterns.
Once the watermain replacement is complete, asphalt resurfacing will occur on Fourth Street from Souris Avenue South to Kensington Avenue.
