Friends and members of council applaud as the final results in the mayoral election are announced on TV at the Legion Hall, as newly-re-elected Mayor Debra Button, standing at right, listens. In the audience were re-elected councillors Nancy Styles, left, and Winston Bailey, left of Mayor Button, and new councillor Mel Van Betuw. Also elected to council, not present in the photo, were Dick Michel, Rob Stephanson and Laura Morrissette. The new city council will be sworn in to office on Nov. 13 in council chambers.
