Music students are reminded to think of applying for the Helen Davidson Music Scholarship of $2,000. The application deadline is Monday, April 30.
If you are participating in the Weyburn Rotary Music Festival, are preparing for a music exam or recital or are planning to continue your music studies, you are invited to apply for the scholarship.
A DVD is required for the application, so the committee encourages students to record their DVD for the HDMA while your repertoire is well-rehearsed.

The music award is open to Weyburn and area residents who studied in the area and are involved in the study of music in any of its forms.
Helen Davidson taught piano in Weyburn for 70 years, was a 50-year member of the Registered Music Teachers Association, and was the organist and choir director at Calvary Baptist Church for over 60 years. This award is a commemoration of her life-long love of music education and her many contributions to the community.
