ArtFarm is one of the top three finalists for the Saskatchewan Tourism Community Event of the Year for 2015.
“The ArtFarm board is thrilled to receive the news that we have been chosen as a finalist,” said Heather van der Breggen, committee member of ArtFarm.
ArtFarm was nominated by the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce for the award. There were over 80 events nominated across the province.
The awards banquet, to announce the winner, will be held April 14 in Regina.
“The ArtFarm board is so grateful to everyone who participates in the sharing of their creative gifts, the organization, financial support and of course our fabulous community that come out to enjoy the day!”
“Our board and friends work so hard to put on ArtFarm and we are so proud. We feel we have won by being selected as a finalist,” said van der Breggen.
Currently, the ArtFarm board is busy working on improvements and additions to make ArtFarm IV the best ever.
ArtFarm IV will be held at the van der Breggen farm on June 11 from 1 to 8 p.m.
“We have many artists applications in and a few new activities lined up,” said Rickee-Lee Webster.
Any businesses or organizations that want to donate to ArtFarm, or become a sponsor, can contact Jaynie Himsl for more information.
“Fundraising is how we reach our mandates to keep admission affordable for families and our artists,” said van der Breggen.
“ArtFarm’s success is proof that creation matters, live music speaks, Saskatchewan people are the optimum teammates and the most spectacular backdrop is the big sky of the Saskatchewan prairies.”
