Local schools have set their dates for their annual winter concerts and Christmas celebrations.
The Weyburn Comp will feature all of their choir groups on Monday, Dec. 15, starting at 7:30 p.m. in the Cugnet Centre.
It will feature all the Comprehensive school choirs: Grade 10 choir, Grade 11 choir, Grade 12 choir and STARS show choir. It is the first Christmas program in the new Triple C Centre, and with the bigger facility there is no need to separate the choirs into two evenings.
Then on Tuesday, Dec. 16, the band groups from the Weyburn Comp will be featured during the evening at the Cugnet Centre. That same evening, the bands and choirs from the Weyburn Junior High will be with the Comp bands. This event starts at 7 p.m.
For St. Michael School, they will have three different evenings of entertainment. On Monday, Dec. 15, the Grade 7 to 9 will have their Christmas celebrations with band performances and skits. This starts at 7 p.m.
Then on Tuesday, Dec. 16, the pre-Kindergarten to Grade 2 classes will perform “The Wriggly Nativity Performance” at 1:30 p.m. Finally, on Thursday, Dec. 18, the Grades 3 to 6 will share “Our Favourite Time of Year Musical Performances” at 7 p.m. All three programs are hosted at St. Michael School.
For the Souris School, they will have their Kindergarten to Grade 6 students perform “The Best Christmas Ever” on Monday, Dec. 15 at 1:15 p.m., and again on Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for the Tuesday evening.

These will be performed at the school on Wednesday, Dec. 17, with the first one at 6:30 p.m., and the second at 6:45 p.m.
