South East Cornerstone Public School Division welcomed Warren Betker to the Board of Education. Betker brings with him 30 years of experience in education, 20 of which he served in the role of an Administrator and five as the Coordinator of Assessment at the school division office. In addition, he was a member of the Board of Directors for the Saskatchewan Teachers' Retirement Plan (STRP) for 15 years. Betker and his wife Vickie live in Weyburn and have three adult daughters. They also have two grandchildren who are currently in the South East Cornerstone Public School Division system.

"Without doubt, Warren's background in education and experience as an Administrator will be a valuable addition to the Board in making governance decisions as well as long term planning, and we look forward to his contributions," said Board Chair Harold Laich.

South East Cornerstone would like to thank all three candidates for their participation in the by-election, as well as extend a special thank you to all who came out to vote.

Betker will join the Board at their November meeting.
