Two projects in the southeast area are amongst a list of 62 recreational and cultural facilities that will receive a Canada 150 Community Infrastructure grant.
In Fillmore, the village will receive a grant of $15,000 to upgrade Memorial Hall.
In Osage, a grant of $3,650 will be provided to upgrade the curling rink.
This infrastructure program is part of Canada 150 Celebrates, which is a celebration of the 150th anniversary of the confederation of Canada.
The government provided an additional $150 million over two years to invest in local improvements to communities across the country.
Western Economic Diversification Canada is administering the program in Western Canada.
Through the program, the government will support projects that will renovate, expand and improve existing community infrastructure with a focus on recreational facilities, or projects that advance a clean growth economy.
