Canada-wide warrant issued for high-risk sexual offender

The Edmonton Police Service is asking the public to assist in locating high-risk sexual offender Ashton Natomagan.

The Edmonton Police Service is asking the public to assist in locating high-risk sexual offender Ashton Natomagan. 

Though police haven't released information about his potential whereabouts, due to connections Natomagan, 33, has in Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan RCMP are warning the public he has been wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for a parole violation since Tuesday, March 3, when he failed to comply and return to his half-way house.

The public is asked to contact police immediately if they locate Natomagan. According to police, he is considered dangerous and should not be approached. 

If anyone in Saskatchewan knows the whereabouts of Natomagan, police advise that the local police service or RCMP detachment should be contacted immediately.

Natomagan was released on March 2 from the Grande Cache Institution after he completed a 61-month sentence for sexual assault causing bodily harm.

Natomagan is considered by police to be a sexual offender who poses a risk of significant harm to the community.
