The Comp Eagles senior girls and senior boys basketball teams gathered with the trophy for winning the historic McLeod Series over the Estevan Elecs at home on Feb. 13. The boys won their game by a score of 96-79, then the girls came on and won 61-56 to take the 2018 title for the long-running series. With this year’s win, the Weyburn Comp Eagles are now ahead 44 to 39 over Estevan, in a series that goes back to 1932.
