City police continue investigation to shooting of a gun at city house

The Weyburn Police Service continues to investigate the shooting which occurred last week at the corner of Albert Street and Hartney Avenue. At this point no new information has come to light.

The Weyburn Police Service continues to investigate the shooting which occurred last week at the corner of Albert Street and Hartney Avenue. At this point no new information has come to light. What police can clarify from the report last week is that the shots were fired from outside the house with two rounds passing through the exterior wall into the house.

Weyburn police responded to a report of a vehicle collision on Park Avenue At about 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.  As the result of the investigation an 18-year-old male was charged with driving without due care and attention. There were no injuries.
City police received a report of a vehicle collision with a fence just after midnight on Sunday. After investigation a 30-year-old male has been charged with driving without due care and attention.
The Weyburn police received a report on Sunday that a vehicle that had been left at an east side pub had been vandalized by being scratched by an object.
City police received a report on June 20 that a 27-year-old male had threatened others in the home. After investigating the matter the male has been charged with uttering threats.
The Weyburn police received a report on June 21 that a vehicle parked in the 100 block of 17th Street had been vandalized by having a window broken out.
Police received a report of an ATV being driven in the area of Assiniboia Park School on June 21. A 19-year-old male has been charged with operating an ATV within city limits. As a reminder, no ATVs or unlicenced motorcycles can be operated anywhere within the city limits.
City police received a report that a bicycle had been stolen from a business on Sims Avenue at about 4:30 p.m. on June 21. A short time later a 54-year-old male was found to be in possession of the bike. He has been charged with the theft of the bike and will be making a court appearance.
City police received a report of a male person apparently passed out behind a downtown business at about 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. A 47-year-old male was located and has been charged with breaching a court condition not to consume alcohol.
