Const. John Clarke of the Weyburn Police Service rides his patrol bike up Coteau Avenue while on his shift on Thursday. The city police has a team of nine trained officers, so with two bicycles available there is always a trained officer or two on a given shift who can go out and do his or her patrols on bike. There are many advantages to this patrol style, plus it helps get the officers out in the public and makes them more accessible.
