After winning national awards two years in a row for their innovative business ideas, the Weyburn Comp’s Entrepreneurship 30 class will have two student business ventures this semester.
The first is Cocoa Express, selling hot chocolate varieties, and the second is Lux Bath Products.
Cocoa Express has chosen to make homemade hot chocolate mix, with varieties including original, mocha, vanilla and peppermint, sold in single-serve bags as well as Christmas ornaments.
The company is comprised of 13 students from Grades 11 and 12, and 10 per cent of their profits will be donated to Weyburn Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
They will sell the hot chocolate for $5 a bag or three for $12.
The Lux Bath Products will sell bath bombs, with four varieties at $7 each, bath salts ($8), and bubble bath ($7), with a basket for $25 featuring all three products.
This company is also comprised of 13 students, and their charity of choice will be the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
Both companies are on Facebook and twitter. The Cocoa Express website is Cocoaexpress.wixsite.com/ent30, and for Lux, the website is www.luxbathproducts.com.
