Weyburn Comp grads and parents are reminded of two events. Grad photos will be taken from Monday to Friday, Feb. 5-9. Every grad is to get a picture taken, but if they want more, there is a $30 sitting fee.
Grads and parents are having a meeting in the Cugnet Centre on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. This is to inform the grads of the school program which will be held on the afternoon of Saturday, June 9, and then allow them to discuss any plans for the Chem-Free after-grad party.
There is no school today, Jan. 31, as the first semester just wrapped up, and classes for the second semester start on Thursday, Feb. 1.
This weekend the following basketball teams are attending tournaments – senior boys will be in Yorkton, senior girls in Melfort, junior boys in Moose Jaw, junior girls in Moose Jaw and freshman boys in St. Brieux.
The district junior curling playoffs are being held in Lampman (mixed), Wawota (girls) and Maryfield (boys).
Also coming up is the annual McLeod Basketball Series against Estevan. The first game will be held in Estevan on Tuesday, Feb. 6, and then will return to Weyburn on Tuesday, Feb. 13.
