The Cugnet Centre will explode with “The Sounds of the 80’s” on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 6:30 p.m. This event, organized by the STARS Show Choir, will feature all the school choirs along with soloists, duets, rock bands and the STARS choir.
The entertainment will last all evening long with desserts and beverages included in the admission price of $10 for adults and students, and $5 for children aged five and under. Tickets are available at the door. Plan to come, sit back, enjoy some desserts and relax to the fabulous tunes of the 80’s.
All of the Weyburn Comp Eagles volleyball teams did very well at districts last Thursday, and the two senior teams will be advancing to SHSAA provincials this weekend in Regina. The girls won the regionals staged here in Weyburn and the boys finished second in Swift Current.
Three-way conferencing takes place next week on Monday, Nov. 21, and Wednesday, Nov. 23, unless other arrangements have been made. Every student, along with their parents, must have made arrangements to meet with their SAS or homeroom teacher.
The annual WCS fowl supper will be held on Thursday, Dec. 1 starting at 5:30 p.m. The later start is necessary so that all pieces can be put into place prior to the beginning of what is expected to be a big supper.
With four serving lines and lots of seating it is expected that the school will be able to serve a large number of diners. Entertainment will also be provided for the evening. The price is $12 for adults, with children under five free. Tickets can only be purchased at the door.
