Drivers in the Weyburn area can expect a smoother ride as the $11.6 million repaving project on Highway 13 between Weyburn and Griffin is now complete.

Drivers in the Weyburn area can expect a smoother ride as the $11.6 million repaving project on Highway 13 between Weyburn and Griffin is now complete.

"This stretch of highway sees more than 2,000 vehicles per day, including a significant amount of heavy truck traffic," Highways and Infrastructure Minister Don McMorris said. "The new pavement will provide a smooth, safe driving surface for shippers, area residents and commuters alike."

In addition to the roughly 30 km of repaving, the work included a pair of intersection improvements further east on Highway 13 at Kisbey and Stoughton.

New construction work underway in the province this week includes a culvert installation on Highway 10 near Fort Qu'Appelle.
