We have started the second semester.
We are also excited to be resuming band classes in the South East Cornerstone Public School Division, starting in February.
The student leadership team (SLT) is a busy group at Gordon F. Kells High School.
All students received a donut on Feb. 5 as a welcome to semester 2 treat. On Feb. 8, the SLT is going to Feel the Love and the entire school is going to write a few words on a heart that will make someone else’s heart happy.
On Feb. 10, the school had its first Skittles War. Every single article of attire counted as a point for your grade. We drew colours from a hat (Grade 7 – blue, Grade 8 – red, Grade 9 – orange, Grade 10 – green, Grade 11 – yellow and Grade 12 – purple). Feb. 12 is free matchmakers and formal day.
The February break is from Feb. 15-19. Students return to school on Feb. 22.
A new reporting system called EDSBY has been rolled out for parents to use. Its purpose is to improve electronic communication between school and home. Contact the school if you haven’t received your password or are having problems logging onto the system.
When your child is unable to attend for any reason, please call or email the office or put in an absence through the Edsby app. Remember, if you ever have questions or concerns to discuss with your child’s particular teachers, please email the teacher or contact the school.
All your school information can be found on the GF Kells website on the Southeast Cornerstone School Division website.
