The 109th annual "Biggest Little Fair" will be held in Creelman on Saturday, July 20.
The fair is hosted by the Creelman Agricultural Society.
"This is the biggest little fair in Saskatchewan and we hope to keep it that way; we encourage everyone to come out to Creelman and celebrate the day with our community," said Dennis Smith, president of the Creelman Agricultural Society.
The Creelman Fair starts with a pancake breakfast from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., followed by a parade at 10 a.m. The parade route starts on a service road, goes down Main Street, and then heads right to the fair grounds.
A favourite event at the fair is the eight-horse hitch demo, which will be held at the ball diamonds at 11:45 a.m.
The annual cat and dog show will be held at the fairgrounds at 11 a.m. Another favourite event is the pig scramble, which includes different age categories. The pig scramble traditionally follows the cat and dog show.
In addition to the horse and cattle show at the fair grounds, there will also be other animals on display, including poultry, rabbits, sheep, llamas, exotic pets and birds.
Over at the Creelman Rink there will be the commercial exhibits and craft show that feature exhibits on crops, 4-H baking, school work, sewing and plants and gardening.
There is also an all-ages midway and face painting, a food booth and refreshment gardens. Special sports tournaments include beach volleyball and mixed slo-pitch.
Additional events at the Creelman Community Complex include a magic show and entertainment, Bingo, and a cold plate meal with refreshments.
The Creelman Agriculture Society was founded in 1904, making this the 109th year for the "Biggest Little Fair".
