Adjudicator Gordon Portman, at left, presented the Margaret Corbett Aspirant Award to the entire cast of the Crocus 80 play, “And A Child Shall Lead”, during the awards ceremonies for TheatreFest 2018 on Saturday evening at the Cugnet Centre. The cast includes Sargent McGowan, Liza Biard, Emerson Jack, Olivia Verhaeghe, Natalie Butz, Camryn Greve, Tauren Jack and Olivia Vogel, and director Connie Nightingale. Missing was Evan Gillespie. The award is offered to a novice participant who has shown remarkable progress as a performer, and is not presented every year but only when outstanding achievement by a newcomer is judged to merit recognition.
