A puppet show based on the Hans Christian Anderson story of the “Snow Queen” was acted out by three of the children in Nazi concentration camp, in a scene from the play, “And A Child Shall Lead”, written by Michael Slade. At left is Pavel Hoffman (played by Liza Biard), and Gabriella Winterova (Olivia Vogel). Liza is an exchange student from France, and this is her first full-length play in a secondary language. The play will be the entry by Crocus 80 Theatre in the upcoming provincial theatre competition, TheatreFest, which will be hosted by Crocus 80 at the Cugnet Centre from April 1-8. This play will be staged on the first night of the competition, on Sunday, April 1 with doors opening at 7 and the opening ceremonies and play at 7:30 p.m.
