Eleven more COVID-19 cases and two more recoveries in South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan

REGINA - There are 11 more cases of COVID-19 to report in South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan, according to the dashboard from the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

Two more people in Zone 4 have recovered, leaving the total number of active cases at 49.

Two new cases have been diagnosed in South East Zone 2, which is north of Zone 4.

The South East now has 80 active cases, up seven from Aug. 7. Another six people have recovered, including the two from Zone 4. One person is in hospital receiving inpatient care, down one from the previous day.

Provincially, there are 81 new daily cases and 53 more recoveries. Fifty-six people are in hospital, which is down four from the previous day.

Another 1,419 new tests were processed on Aug. 7, including 102 from the South East.

And 2,542 doses of vaccine were administered, with 269 from the South East.

The Mercury will release the updated COVID-19 numbers when there has been a new case or recovery reported in South East Zone 4.
