Gary Anderson carves a handgrip and decorative faces into a long branch of alder wood that he intends to make into a walking stick during a Carver's Niche session on Wednesday afternoon at the Weyburn Public Library. The Carver's Niche meets at the library every Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m.; it provides an opportunity for people to learn how to carve art out of wood, and to share tips, tricks and pointers.
