Emergency crews were called to a collision on Estevan's truck bypass on Saturday.

ESTEVAN - Local emergency crews were called to a collision on the Estevan truck bypass on Saturday morning.

At around 9:40 a.m., RCMP responded to the report of a collision involving a semi-trailer unit and an SUV.

The lone occupant of the SUV was transported to hospital with what were described as serious injuries. The lone occupant of the semi received treatment for injuries on scene.

The highway was closed until approximately 4 p.m. Saturday while the on-scene investigation was being conducted.

The Estevan RCMP and RCMP Collision Reconstruction continue to investigate to determine the cause of the collision. They do not have further information to release at this time.
