Envision Counselling and Support Centre would like to announce that Workshop Wednesdays will be continuing until March 1, 2017.
The remaining workshops will focus on Moving Beyond Anger and Minding Your Emotions.
“It takes courage for someone to sign up, but once you start attending, the results are immediate. People who attend these workshops are able to implement these tools right away in their everyday life,” says Christa Daku, executive director of Envision. She says participants in past workshops leave feeling better about their lives with a plan to make improvements.
Moving Beyond Anger will be held on February 1 and the series will finish up with Minding Your Emotions on March 1. The workshops will take place in the evening from 6:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and will be offered in Estevan, Weyburn and Carlyle. These workshops are open to both men and women over the age of 18 and are free of charge.
Please call the Envision office for additional information and to pre-register. For more information on this or other programming at Envision, residents may also visit the website at www.envisioncounsellingcentre.com.
Envision continues to run the “Into the Sunshine: Offering Hope to the Trafficked and Exploited” program within their Interpersonal Violence and Abuse program, which is a five-year program based primarily out of Carlyle.
The program is funded by the federal Ministry of Justice. Working with community partners, Envision will engage individuals involved in prostitution to support them as they attempt to exit. This is a long-term program that will involve counselling, legal or educational advocacy, training and family support. The goal is to provide trained counsellors with the ability to reach out and connect with women with experiences in prostitution. Envision are still in the early stages of this new program, but they have high hopes that the “Into the Sunshine” program will make a difference in the lives of individuals living in the darkness.
