The Estevan Police Service (EPS) arrested two motorists for driving while impaired by a drug on Monday night.
In the first instance, the motorist's licence was suspended for three days and the vehicle was impounded.
In the second case, the driver was issued a 60-day driver's licence suspension as he was a novice driver. His vehicle was also impounded.
No further information was immediately available.
Also on Monday, police were called to a residence where there was an unwanted guest. Police attended and the individual left without incident.
In other recent police news, a traffic stop on Sunday was made in central Estevan, which resulted in a 41-year-old Estevan man being charged with possessing weapons dangerous to the public.
He was searched as a result of an impaired driving investigation, at which time two switchblade knives were found. He was found to not be impaired, but arrested in regard to the knives, which are prohibited under the Criminal Code.
He will make his first appearance in Estevan Provincial Court on Feb. 1 at 9:30 a.m.
The EPS was out for check stops on Friday, with mandatory roadside screenings. Police handed out gift cards from local restaurants to sober drivers.
