The Estevan Police Service is reporting two people were arrested last night following the execution of a search warrant.
A 38-year-old woman and 20-year-old man were arrested and the man was charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act for possession of crack cocaine for the purposes of trafficking as well as possessing the proceeds of crime and breach of probation. The woman was released from custody last night and has not been charged with any crime.
EPS members along with the EPS drug and intelligence unit and members of the RCMP integrated organized crime unit executed the search warrant on a residence in the west side of Estevan on Wednesday night. During the search, EPS said they discovered and seized a "significant" amount of crack cocaine, cutting agents, scales and drug paraphernalia. They also seized marijuana.
The 20-year-old man will appear in Estevan provincial court Thursday morning.
The matter remains under investigation.
